On behalf of the Pierce County Library Foundation Board of Directors, we are grateful to everyone who supported us in 2025. Your generosity—and your belief in the power of libraries—helped strengthen the Pierce County Library System and enrich lives throughout our communities.
Because of you, meaningful programs continued to grow and thrive. Young children took their first steps toward a lifelong love of reading through early literacy and Storytime programs. Families, teens, and adults stayed curious and connected through the Summer Reading Program. Your gifts also expanded digital access, technology resources, and outreach services—helping people connect to information, opportunity, and each other. ​
Thank you for making a difference last year and for standing alongside the Pierce County Library Foundation and the Pierce County Library System. Your ongoing support helps ensure libraries remain welcoming, inclusive spaces where everyone can learn, explore, and feel at home.
2025 Areas of Support
When you give to the Pierce County Library Foundation, you help the library do great things. In 2025, the Foundation raised $336,000 to invest in Pierce County Library System programs, materials and services - helping ensure and expand free access to library resources for everyone - in library branches and across the community.

Improving Lives with Digital Literacy
A newly hired commercial driver needed to complete his job onboarding independently—but struggled to navigate the company’s online system. Concerned about losing the job, he attended a Tech Help drop‑in session at the University Place Library.

Working one‑on‑one with a Community Engagement Specialist, they tackled each step together. The specialist guided him through the process while encouraging him to summarize instructions and choose his next actions—building both skill and confidence.

In just 45 minutes, he completed the onboarding process and successfully communicated with HR about final requirements.
